Psychotherapeutic and Organizational Ethical Guidelines of the Psychophysiological Rehabilitation Center "Arsi"

1. General Principles

  • A psychotherapy organization and its employees are obligated to:

  • Respect human dignity, autonomy, and rights;

  • Act with the principles of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility;

  • Ensure the well-being and safety of the patient.

 

2. Competence and professional responsibility

  • Psychotherapy services are provided only by persons with appropriate education, qualifications and experience;

  • A specialist works only within the scope of his/her competence;

  • A professional is obliged to continue professional development (education, supervision).

 

3. Patient Well-Being

  • The patient's best interests are always paramount;

  • Harm, exploitation, or any form of violence is prohibited;

  • The therapeutic relationship is based on trust and a safe environment.

4. Informed Consent

  • Psychotherapy begins on the basis of the patient's informed consent;

  • The patient is provided with information about: the goals, methods, and duration of therapy; possible risks and alternatives; and the scope of confidentiality;

  • The patient has the right to discontinue therapy at any time.

 

5. Confidentiality and protection of personal data

  • Information about the patient is confidential;

  • Disclosure of information is permissible only: with the patient's written consent;

  • in cases specified by law;

  • The organization ensures the protection of personal data.

6. Professional Boundaries

  • Dual relationships with the patient that harm the therapeutic process are not allowed;

  • Emotional, financial or other exploitation of the patient is prohibited;

  • The professional relationship is clearly separated from the personal relationship.

 

7. Non-discrimination

Psychotherapy services are provided to everyone, regardless of:

  • gender, age, ethnicity;

  • religious or political beliefs;

  • sexual orientation or gender identity;

  • social status.

 

8. Colleague Relations

  • The organization promotes professional cooperation and mutual respect;

  • Conflicts are resolved in accordance with ethical and professional standards;

  • Unfair actions are subject to review.

 

9. Ethical Violations

  • The organization establishes a procedure for reviewing ethical complaints;

  • Ethical violations are reviewed impartially and confidentially;

  • Disciplinary measures are taken if necessary.

 

10. Compliance with the Code of Ethics

  • All employees and associated specialists are required to comply with this Code of Ethics;

  • Violation of ethical rules may be grounds for termination of cooperation.

This ethical guideline ensures the safety, professionalism, and protection of human rights in psychotherapy activities.
