3. Patient Well-Being

The patient's best interests are always paramount;

Harm, exploitation, or any form of violence is prohibited;

The therapeutic relationship is based on trust and a safe environment.
4. Informed Consent

Psychotherapy begins on the basis of the patient's informed consent;

The patient is provided with information about: the goals, methods, and duration of therapy; possible risks and alternatives; and the scope of confidentiality;

The patient has the right to discontinue therapy at any time.
